Anpris Consultancy is led by Andrew Harris, Anpris Managing Partner. Andrew’s own 40 year career moved regularly between policy and practice, mainly in the UK social housing sector. In that time, he variously ran multi-million housing development programmes, developed innovative social housing finance models and supported a range of housing agencies through umbrella bodies, including the National Federation of Housing Associations and the National Council of YMCAs.
Experience of working in resource limited settings came during his time as a community development worker on a self-build housing scheme in the Seychelles from 1970-72 and from 1999, when he moved to his present homeland, Namibia, worked in small business development in the Kalahari and subsequently with several national umbrella bodies in the fields of health, entrepreneurship development, vocational training and the not for profit sector.
It was this diverse experience that meant that when he turned to full-time consultancy in 2008 for 6 years he averaged 25 assignments a year. Principle focus areas were researching and reviewing programmes (23%); preparing funding applications (24%); and organisational planning, review, development and coaching (23%). The remainder of consultancies related to data organisation and management (12%), facilitation of events (10%) and editing reports and other materials (8%).
In 2013 Andrew Harris reverted to operational practice as the first Executive Director of not for profit funding agency the Civil Society Foundation of Namibia, and then to manage the introduction of a new business stream of educational publishing to Anpris Trading Enterprises. Now this new business stream has been successfully established he returns to national and international consultancy, focusing on short-term assignments.

Assignments have come from:

the EC; GIZ; EPOS Health Management; I-TECH; Namibian Ministries – Office of the Prime Minister, Health and Social Services, Works and Transport; Namibia Training Authority; Roads Fund Administration; UNICEF; and 40 other organisations.
